MyEnterpriseProjects.com is a suite of web-based applications to help complete project
documentation quickly and efficiently. Currently the product is focussed around
the development of functional specifications, but is being developed to encompass
all project documentation, from project charters, through requirements analysis,
specifications, test scripts and standard operating procedures.
The suite has a web user interface, which is clear and intuitive to use, making
the process of completing documents easy. The suite uses “Smart-Templates”
to help the user complete this variety of project documentation.
Functional Specification Composer
This is the first product in the suite and is designed to complement the more traditional
top-down methodologies of ASAP (TM – SAP AG) and Solution Manager
(TM – SAP AG). Using web-based technology, project collateral is
captured using structured “Smart-Templates” that provide knowledge-based
content to help improve the specification process. The underlying data is then stored
using a combination of techniques that will provide better integration, searching,
management and reuse.
The application uses “Smart-Templates” to help you complete a functional
specification by working through a template section by section. The document section
presented depends upon answers given to key questions in the previous sections of
the document. This allows for different routes through documents to be contained
in one “Smart-Template” with only the relevant sections presented to
you for completion, thus avoiding long output documents with lots of irrelevant
content.
A number of “Best Practice” templates are provided within the application,
which guide you through the process and ensure that the right information is captured
for each type of specification. These templates can be copied and modified to your
own specific needs.
This combination of navigation and knowledge-driven content ensures that specifications
are delivered efficiently and to the highest quality standard.
